Italian Time

Before students arrived for the Paint with Me in Italy workshop, Randy and I came to the vineyard and home of Manu and Mary Beth Gaiarin -- the spot that would become home base for the week.  And, such a spot it is!  Unbelievably ... as much as I'd anticipated this trip ... being here was so MUCH more than that dream come true. I couldn't wait to share it. Paint it. Live it.

This is the view we were treated to ... for seven wonderful days in the Piemonte wine region of Italy.

I've revised (and revised and revised) this one which was based on a sketch created plein air. My sunflowers ... bunch number four ... were exactly what this painting needed. This is it.
